We all know how the Law of Attraction works

You get what you focus on the most. So how do you get into alignment with what you want? You use an alignment method to get you there. The point of an alignment method is to get you into the feeling place of having your desire. My favorite Abraham Hicks quote goes like this – “The amount of time it takes you to get from where you are to where you want to be, is only the amount of time it takes you to change the vibration within you. Instant manifestation could be yours if you could instantly change the vibration.” We tend to overcomplicate this sometimes when it’s a lot easier than we think. Here are 5 of my favorite manifesting methods that get me results.

1.Visualization

Visualization is hands down my favorite alignment method because it’s so easy to do. I love using my imagination to think about every detail of something that I’m wanting. Fun fact – About 5 years ago, I visualized every detail of the family home that my husband and I bought 3 years ago. I still have my Pinterest boards that look exactly like my bathroom does!

2. Scripting (in written form)

Because I’m a writer, journaling is my go-to method for anything. Scripting (in written form) also termed Pray Rain Journaling by Jeanette Maw involves writing about the stuff you want as if you already have it. I used this to get into alignment with jobs I’ve attracted in the past, material objects I’ve wanted, and specific scenarios of situations….. It is SO powerful!

3. Immersion

Immersion is the art of immersing yourself in the environment of your desire. Example. If you want to go to a certain varsity, you buy that varsity sweatshirt and wear it every night to bed. And set up your room to look like a dorm room. Or if you want to marry your sweetheart, you start wearing a ring on your engagement finger.

4. Acting as If

“Acting as if” is another powerful alignment method. You live your life by acting as if you have the thing you want. I’ve also used this one with great success in my own life. In the book Atomic Habits, James Clear talks about how a friend of his lost 120 pounds just by daily asking herself questions like:

  • What would a woman who was at her goal weight wear?
  • What would she eat today?

5. Mantras/Affirmations

Affirmations are so powerful because when you recite them repeatedly, they help build new neural pathways in your brain. Personally, I love them because reciting them over keeps my mind occupied. This allows me to have discipline over the thoughts I’m thinking. Jack Canfield says that his negative self-talk disappeared completely after reciting affirmations in front of the mirror every morning for 40 days. How amazing is that!

Remember, the point of any alignment method is not to get your desire to come to you – the point is for you to get into vibrational alignment with your desire (aka the feeling place of having what you want). When you emit that frequency on a consistent basis, the Law of Attraction has to respond and send you what matches that frequency (aka your desire). But resistance and limiting beliefs also have their own place in the system, so if you’re not getting what you want – have a look at those two things first.
